Merge tags provide the ability to automatically merge invitee-specific details into the body of an email. For groups and families, there are a few unique ways you can address emails to outline who's included in the invitation.

List All Guests In Group (First Names)

{all_guests}

The list of all guests in a group merge tag will merge in the first names of each guest in a group. Here are a few examples of how this will look for different types of invitee groups:

List All Guests In Group (First Names + Last Name)

{all_guests} {last_name}

If you don't have any groups with unnamed guests (or can exclude those from your email audience), you can use a combination of the list of all guests in a group and last names.

Note: The last name will be pulled from the guest associated with the email being received.

Use only the last name merge field to greet the family -- the guest associated with the email will be the name that is pulled (for reference in situations where 1 family may have unique last names).

Traditional Name with Titles

{title} {first_name} {last_name}

Traditional invitations may be formatted with the head of household's name listed - in this case, you will need to make sure to set up your guest list accordingly:

  • Including both titles in one title field

  • List the head of household first and with the associated email

⭐️ We'd suggest disabling titles in the RSVP form if you are using this setup.
