QR Code Printing Guidelines & Best Practices

Color

Good contrast between the background and the QR Code color is very important when a standard Black & White code is not used. In the case of colorized codes, the QR Code should have a dark color with a light background color.

Size

If the code is to be used in a small to a medium-sized product, (flyers or event invites), the size of the QR code should be at least 2cm x 2 cm. RSVPify provides a PNG that is 250 px x 250 px (6.61 cm x 6.61 cm). If uncertain, err on the side of caution and print the QR Code bigger.

Test print if possible

If possible / provided by your printer, get a test of your design printed so you can test the QR code before going to print with all of your event invitations.

Instructions for your Invitation or Flyer

Include Your Event URL

While the QR code is designed to easily direct invitees to your event URL, you will also want to include your event invitation or event registration link. Here's where to find your event URL and how to list it on paper invites.

Examples of Instructions:

  • To RSVP, scan this code with your camera app (on iPhone) or use any QR code scanning app. Or visit yourevent.rsvpify.com
