How do I remove the ticketing block?

Switched to a ticketed event but want a simple RSVP instead (or the reverse)? Convert between the two without starting over. Here's how.

When creating an event, you might realize you chose a ticketed setup but later want a simple RSVP instead. Rather than starting over with a new event, you can remove the ticketing block with a few quick changes.

Turning a ticketed event into a simple RSVP

Step 1: Open the ticketing block settings

On your Form Builder page, click the gear icon at the top of the ticketing block to open its settings.

Step 2: Remove ticket tiers

Remove all the ticket tiers you've set up. Then create a single tier for the "Attending" response and set its Item Type to "Admit one." This makes your ticketing block behave like a simple RSVP.

Note: If your "Attending" selection already has a payment attached to it, see the next step.

Step 3: Disable the payment option

Click the gear icon next to the selection that requires payment, then turn off the Selection Requires Payment option. This turns your ticketing block into a simple RSVP form.

Selection Requires Payment

That's it. You've converted a ticketed event into a simple RSVP without starting over.

Alternatively, you can just click Simple RSVP at the bottom of the editor.

If you're in the opposite situation and want to collect payments for a simple RSVP you've already set up, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open the RSVP block settings

On your Form Builder page, click the gear icon at the top of the RSVP block to open its settings.

Step 2: Add a payment option

Click the gear icon next to the selection you want, then add a payment option to it.

Then toggle on the Selection Requires Payment option and set the price.

Tip: If you need more than one payment selection, enable the "Maybe attending" selection and attach a payment to it too.
