Can I edit scheduled emails?

Learn how to edit previously scheduled emails.

Updated over a year ago

All emails (drafted and scheduled) can be edited at any time before sending. To edit an email you have previously scheduled, you need to:

Step 1: In your event left navigation menu, locate Email Communications and from there select Scheduled.

Step 2: Locate the email you want to edit. Click on the three dots and select Edit.

Clicking Edit will take you to the Email Builder. You can update the email body with additional information or change the color scheme of your email. If you are only making changes to the body of your email, after you are done, click on the Actions button at the top right of your screen and select 'Save changes & send as scheduled'.

However, if you want to send your email at a different time than the one that is scheduled, you must go to the third step of email editing and select a new send time & timezone.

What other options do I have with scheduled emails?

'Actions' button above the body of your scheduled email gives you a few more options when editing your scheduled email:

  • Unschedule and move to Drafts: selecting this option will unschedule the email and move it to Drafts. You'll be able to see the email in Drafts, edit it and send whenever you want to do so.

  • Duplicate & save in Drafts - the original email will remain scheduled and will be sent at the scheduled times but the duplicated one will be in Drafts and you will be able to make changes to it, select a new audience and send it at the time of your preference.

  • Discard changes & send as scheduled - any changes that you have made to the previously scheduled email will be discarded and the email will be sent at the time scheduled prior to making changes
