Including QR codes in email confirmations and campaigns

If you use RSVPify's guest check-in system, you can send each guest their unique QR code before the event.

This guide explains how to include QR codes and confirmation codes in both email campaigns and confirmation emails.

What are QR codes and confirmation codes?

  • Confirmation QR code: a scannable barcode used to check guests in upon arrival.

  • Confirmation code: a unique alphanumeric code assigned to each registered guest or group.

Adding a QR code to an email campaign

  1. Within your event, go to Emails > New Email.

  2. In the email builder, click into the email body, and locate the (+) icon.

  3. Select the QR code Icon.

  4. Under the Select Recipients modal, select guests who replied Attending.

  5. Send the email.

💡 Tip: Test your email before sending it to all guests (see how to send a preview email). QR codes in preview emails aren't linked to a guest and will show a "This QR code is not associated with a confirmed guest or is invalid" message when scanned.

Adding a QR code to confirmation emails

  1. Go to Event Settings > Email Confirmations & Reminders.

  2. Toggle on the confirmation code and QR code settings, then save. Once enabled, they'll automatically appear in the emails guests receive after completing registration.
