Unpublished VS Published Events
When you first create your event, whether it's an RSVP or ticketed one, it will be in the unpublished state. While in unpublished mode, you will be able to fully test and preview your RSVP/registration and event payment experience. Those test submissions will be removed once your event goes live!
To make sure of the mode your event is in, check the action's menu dropdown next to your profile picture:
How to view and test your event website and registration:
To test your form before publishing the event, click on the preview event ('eye') icon next to the actions menu.
How to share your draft:
You'll notice that while in draft mode, your event will have a banner at the top of the page. Click 'share preview' to generate a sharable preview link to share with your event's stakeholders:
You will also be able to share the preview link from the actions menu dropdown. Select 'Share Preview Link' in the menu and the link will immediately be generated and copied to your clipboard.
In case it's helpful, see the video below for a quick walk-through of the steps outlined above.
Published Events
As an admin, you can submit test ticket purchases even after your event is published. To do so, you would need to go to your event's URL while being logged into your account and then complete the form as if you were the guest. Before the checkout screen, you will be asked to select the registration type. You can choose between three registration types:
1. Test Registration - by selecting this, you get to test your form and preview the entire experience as your guests will see. Payments made this way won't be processed and you can use one of the following 'dummy' credit card numbers to do the testing:
'Dummy' Credit Card Numbers*
Visa
4242 4242 4242 4242
Mastercard
5555 5555 5555 4444

*Expiration date and CVV (verification) can be any random value you like. Make sure your expiration date is in the future and your CVV is a numerical value.
For international credit card numbers for testing purposes, please see here.
2. Courtesy Registration - by submitting a courtesy registration you agree that your guest does not need to pay in order to attend your event.
3. Charge a Credit Card for this Order - this is a live credit card transaction and if you have opted for this option you would need to enter actual credit card details. This way you get to bear the expenses on behalf of one of your attendees.
Deleting test registrations
To delete test registrations navigate to Dashboard > Overview, locate the registration you want to delete and click on it once you have located it. A box with all your guest's information will show on your screen. Click on the three dots in the upper left corner of the box and click 'Delete Group'. After you confirm your intent to delete the group, the registration will be removed.
