Here's what you need to consider and steps you should take when canceling your event hosted on RSVPify.
β
Step 1: Close Your RSVP or Ticket Sales
The first thing you'll want to do is ensure that no one can RSVP or purchase tickets to the event if it has been canceled. You can close and re-open your RSVP as often as you'd like. So don't worry, you can re-open the event later, or update the closed message if needed!
Here are the steps:
Open your event
Under the Publish&Invite section locate the Status tab on the top of the screen
In this section, select 'Publish Event Wall Only'
Customize the message that you'd like guests to see if they visit your RSVP page
Click 'Publish'
Tip: Use this as an opportunity to share any important information with folks who were planning or hoping to attend the event such as the reason for the cancellation, plans to re-schedule if relevant, refund policy, etc.
Step 2: Notify Guests
If you have guests who have RSVPed or registered for your event, you will want to notify them of the cancellation or change of plans.
To email your guests, go to Email > New Email.
βEmail Cancellation Tips:
Update the email subject line
Customize the email message
Delete the RSVP button
Delete the custom button from your email:
β
Delete Your Event
If you simply want to delete your event, you can follow these steps:
Navigate to your Dashboard by clicking on the Home button next to your profile picture
Locate the event you want to delete and click on the three-dots button in the upper right corner of your event
Click 'Delete Event' and confirm your intent to delete all data.
In case your event gets canceled, occasionally you will need to issue refunds to your guests. In case such a need arises, you need to log in to your Stripe account and follow a series of steps that you need to complete in order to issue refunds successfully.
